What's your name? How did you get started?
My name is Ceasar Christian and I'm from St.Pete, FL. I did work in other parts of the industry learning and watching how everything worked before I started my grind as an artist about 4 years ago. I moved to Atlanta in 2017 and signed a management deal with Freebandz and Willenium. My first single "Real Shh" was released through Empire in 2018. In 2019, my contract term ended and we started running independently.
What is your experience in the music industry? Do you have any formal training or schooling? If not, are you self-taught and how did you learn your craft? What is your learning style? What are your favorite educational resources (ex. college, Youtube, etc.)?
I worked in production and creativity before. I styled some big projects and celebrities when I lived in LA and I learned a lot about the game that way. As far as finding my style and sound it just took time and working with the right people to make everything feel authentic
What are some credits and achievements that you have? Who have you worked with? Who have you collaborated with?
Brandon Rossi is featured on my first single, "Real Shh". Lil Keed was there when I recorded that, we were working in the same situation with Freebandz and Mooktoven the producer. I got some tracks recently with Cardi B's DJ, Ray G. There is more stuff in the works but I don't do a lot of features, but slowly they're happening organically.
Who are your biggest influences growing up and why? Who do you like to listen to now and why? Who’s on your playlist right now?
I looked up to the bosses always, Jay Z, TI, Wayne as the boss of Young Money. I always listened to their music and tried to peep their game. Trick, Plies, and Ross are the artists who ran Florida. Now it's Rod Wave. I listen to Moneybagg and Dolph I love their content. Thug or Drake whatever is hot I tap into it.
What are some of the biggest obstacles you’ve encountered or faced in this industry?
As an independent artist, the budget always gets in the way. That and keeping a loyal team.
How would you describe your sound and style?
My music is lit. I make music to turn up to, music you can party to, and just have a good time.
What are some of your goals this year?
I wanted to get back on tour this year but Covid threw all that off so now we just regrouping, restrategizing, and planning a couple of big single releases.
Who are the top 3 artists, producers, engineers, videographers, or others you would want to work with that you haven’t worked with yet?
I'd love to work with Kanye, Mustard, and Jeezy.
What is your creative process like?
I write. I usually write when I'm by myself and go to the studio to record. I usually have the whole idea worked out before I even go to the studio.
What’s your favorite go-to order?
I love Spondivits in Atlanta. I'm from Florida so I love seafood and country soul food, Mac and cheese, oxtails, and stuff like that.
